SMART Productivity Group, an independent consulting firm, approached me for a brand refresh, then asked me to extend that refreshed identity into the UI/UX of an app they were building.

Project Description

Project Description

SMART already had a logo they were attached to, a triangle mark anchored by their name. The challenge was expanding the system around it. More color, more typographic flexibility, and multiple logo configurations that worked across contexts, all without losing what they already loved about the original.

Starting Point

Starting Point

The development team they brought on built the app's underlying functionality, tabs, flows, and information architecture, but the visual layer was not there. My role was to shape the user experience and bring the refreshed brand into the interface, designing something that earned its place as a corporate productivity tool without falling into the visual blandness most of those tools suffer from.

Because SMART came with an established workflow, defined clients, projects, and processes, I was able to create mood boards and rough drafts with a clearer structure in mind, which accelerated early design decisions. The priority was an interface that felt high-quality and aesthetic without sacrificing the speed and clarity their users needed day to day.

Final Form

Final Form

The finished design spans 12 screens supporting staff, employers, and consultant experiences, plus a set of marketing assets built on the same refreshed system of color, type, and visual language, with continuous improvement as new features arise.

Currently in beta testing with the SMART team, launching soon.
